2025 Presidential Inauguration Ticket Request

The 60th Inaugural Ceremonies will be held at the U.S. Capitol on Monday, January 20, 2025. The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) plans and executes all Inaugural activities at the U.S. Capitol, including the Inaugural Swearing-in Ceremonies of the President-elect and Vice President-elect of the United States. For additional information, please visit http://inaugural.senate.gov and check back frequently to see more information as it becomes available.

Ticket Allocation

I am pleased to take requests from residents of Massachusetts’ 3rd District for the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Each Congressional office is allocated a limited number of tickets, most in viewing areas well removed from the platform and standing room only. Tickets to the Inaugural Swearing-in Ceremonies at the U.S. Capitol are free but required for every person.

My office is keeping track of ticket requests in the order they are received and will provide information as it becomes available.

If you are interested in attending, please complete the following form: Presidential Inauguration Tickets

Expectations & Ground Rules

Ticket requests will be accepted through 5:00pm EST, December 6, 2024. All requests made after the deadline will only be considered from a waiting list, if space allows.

Due to the anticipated demand and the limited number of tickets to the ceremony, please be aware that making a request is not a guarantee you will receive a ticket, but my office will be in touch with everyone who places a request. Notification of ticket allocation should occur by mid to late December.

Additional Information

Tickets may not be sold. Tickets allow access to specific sections of the Capitol Grounds to view the Inaugural Swearing-in Ceremonies of the President-elect and Vice President-elect. Each ticketed area can accommodate accessibility needs. There will be a large section west of 4th Street on the National Mall that will be available to the public who do not receive tickets through Congressional offices.

If you are not a resident of Massachusetts’ 3rd District, please check with the Senator or Representative of your home state for tickets. You can find your representatives here

Please note that there are many inaugural events. Tickets are to the Inaugural Swearingin Ceremonies of the President-elect and Vice President-elect only. My office will not be able to provide tickets to any other event. The Inaugural Parade and official Inaugural Balls are handled by the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC). The PIC has not yet set up an official website. We will add this information when the website is available.

Considerations

As you consider coming to Washington, D.C. for the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies, please keep in mind:

  • Washington winters are cold. Be prepared for cold weather. According to Weather Underground, temperatures on January 20 in Washington, D.C. have run from an average low of 28°F to an average high of 43°F.
  • Security measures will be in place and taken very seriously. Be prepared to go through metal detectors and have bags checked. Security requires ticket holders to arrive at least a couple hours early, carrying no seats or large bags.
  • Transportation options will be limited. Due to street closures around the Capitol grounds and massive crowds using public transit, be prepared to walk a few blocks and wait in line.
